• Congratulations to TRG clients Just Like Sisters™! Richmond's Style Weekly has named their suppository delivery device one of the top 2012 local patents. Kathy Pieper and Karen Higgins, "Sisters Inventing Solutions©, have been issued several similar patents. Plans are proceeding for production and availability to the public.

 

• TRG President, Marianne Lawrence, recently joined the skilled group of community association mangers who have earned the Association Management Specialist (AMS) designation from Community Associations Institute (CAI). She is one of more than 3,800 managers nationwide who have earned this level of professional recognition in the community association field.

 

Last year, Lawrence was named a Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) by the National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers (NBC-CAM). Marianne joins more than 8,000 CMCA certificants nationwide who have demonstrated the professional knowledge important for managing condominium and homeowner associations and cooperatives. To obtain and maintain the CMCA credential, a manager must complete comprehensive course work, pass a National Certification Examination, adhere to the CMCA Standards of Professional Conduct and take continuing education courses to recertify.

Triangle Resource Group (TRG) has been issued a Common Interest Community Manager License from the Commonwealth of Virginia. The license allows TRG to provide management services to common interest communities in Virginia and is required by new legislation passed in 2008. TRG has provided management services to the Gwynn's Island Condominium Association since 2004.

§ Projects

• Triangle Resource Group has launched a website for skin by MDmd. Skin by MDmd is a physician directed luxury online boutique of high quality skin care products.

• Triangle Resource Group has recently completed a website redesign for Industrial Alloy Fabricators, LLC (IAF). IAF is a major producer of custom pressure vessels, tanks, reactors, columns and other process equipment, serving the chemical, petrochemical, pulp and paper industries and more.

• Triangle Resource Group has developed a new website for The New Virginians, a Richmond area women’s social club. TRG President Marianne Lawrence says, “We are delighted to be working with this fun group of over 400 women whose goals are making friends, having fun and supporting local charitable organizations.”

• Triangle Resource Group has launched a new website for the Patton Tax Group, LLC, a CPA tax accounting and business consulting firm in Richmond, Virginia. Patton Tax Group assists small businesses in a variety of industries with accounting, business planning and tax issues and provides services to individual clients in various accounting needs, including taxes, financial planning, estate assistance and wealth transfer issues.

§ Awards

Two organization newsletters designed and published by Triangle Resource Group (TRG) have received regional and national honors.  

The River City Record, the monthly newsletter of the River City Express Network of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA) received a regional newsletter award at the ABWA District IV Spring Conference on April 6 in Safety Harbor, Florida. The Record is designed and published by Triangle Resource Group. Newsletter submissions are judged by non-ABWA members and must adhere to specific guidelines. Judged on appearance (30%) and content (70%). Five newsletters are chosen for this award at each district conference and are eligible for national awards to be presented at the 2013 ABWA National Women's Leadership Conference in October. The River City Record has received a regional award in eleven of the twelve years of its publication and national awards in 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010.

The Gardener's Grapevine, published for the Crown Grant Garden Club received First Prize in the Small Clubs category at the Piedmont District Spring Meeting. Piedmont District is one of six districts of the Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs and comprises 64 clubs. Club newsletters are judged on presentation and content.
